As a Sound Designer I read the script for Significant Other and then compared my vision of the play with the vision of the director, Rebecca Wilson. I reread the play and I made a list of where I thought the sound cues were supposed to go and what they were supposed to be. I would work on those cues in Adobe Audition to create certain soundscapes. These cues range from background-music to indicate a party, to noise to establish a space, to sounds to create surreal moments within the world of the play or sound effects to create a sense of realism. In conversations with the director I would change or update the sounds to fit her vision.

During the production process of this particular show I also designed the poster for the production. The image of the poster is inspired by the colors that inspired the set- and lighting design and the overall content of the play.
